Here at Marshland St James Primary and Nursery we have four main classrooms.

Cohorts are mixed as follows:

• Nursery (mornings only) and Reception (EYFS)
• Years 1 and 2 (KS1)
• Years 3 and 4 (Lower KS2)
• Years 5 and 6 (Upper KS2)

Due to our mixed classes, your child will have the security of knowing and staying with a familiar teacher in a familiar classroom for two full school years. Their teacher will develop a good understanding of your child's ability and will be able to help them flourish and support them in their learning journey.

Your child's journey through school will navigate them through their Year 1 Phonics Screening Tests, Year 4 Multiplications Check and finally their SATs (Standard Assessment Tests) in Year 6, before they move off to Secondary School.
